I propose we do an fMRI experiment, with a parrot in one of the small-bore scanners, and one of our researchers with a fondness for parrots (and possibly the ability to communicate with them telepathically) in a whole-body scanner. The researcher will view "The Legend of Sasquatch Mountain" while the parrot remains blinded to the stimulus. If the "wtf" area of the parrot's brain is activated, this proves that the brains of the parrot and the researcher are superparanormally linked.

I've got a scan slot we can use, just need a back-up scanner to be there with me.
oh - and someone who can sign the consent form!
If the parrot is incompetent to sign the form, her parents have to sign. But from the sound of things, the parrot will be plenty competent.

I have the straps to hold the little suckers down.
