1. He mistakenly didn't do what he was supposed to do. 2. She is supposed to do it even though it was his mistake. 3. She calls in sick and can't do it. 4. He and I are asked if we'll do it. 5. He doesn't respond. 6. Why would I do it? SOML.
That was pretty good, but I feel that after the series of tension-building statements, ending it with a question was a cop-out which left the reader unsatisfied. I'd recommend an alternative ending, with #6 being another statement. Maybe throw some sex and/or violence into the mix.
